Bahamas as a business trip, "It really is" comment just does not ring real true.
Not everyone flies their plane on business only trips, lighten up I didn't say everyone did. You lighten up.

Ok gentlemen, I went to try on the Pilatus and TBM today. I'm a "big guy".... not code for really fat - just big. Let's say I can eat a steak.
My take. They both are awesome. If it is for 2-3 people then the TBM is cool - yes small but fast. I would really want the pilot door - it was hard to climb in from the back. Found the rudder pedal adjustment lever - slides 6" - made all the difference.
If it is a family trip or 5 people from the office with "stuff" then the Pilatus is a no-brainer. It's huge. It may be slower but it has a toilet! Bringing the TBM down from altitude to potty is an expensive and time consuming stop. The Pilatus may beat you on a big cross country if you throw in a TBM potty stop. If I was a no kid guy I would have the TBM from 35-45 then age and experience would make me get the Pilatus.
I think we could all look good in either one!

For "late models":
When indicator pin shows breaks are low, the entire brake assembly is removed and sent to Pilatus for refurbishment, each unit is $4,500 and you add 4 hours of labor. Total cost is about $10K.
And guess what, this is not an annual cost, depending on use this is something that occurs every 3 years or more.
The aircraft has such a slow landing speed that the breaks don't need to be used as much as say, a jet. Finally. Good job.
