I've tried to figure out why mine would be a bit heavy, and also a smidge tail heavy, and have no good answer. We have very close serial numbers.

OK, fellow P180 folks. I have a few questions about some of the details of my interior bits. Nothing major, just kind of sussing things out. - Would like to see anyone's favorite cockpit organization tidbits. Feel I could use something other than copilot seat. iPad holder, place for sunglasses etc, whatever.
- If you have headsets in back for pax, where are the jacks installed?
- What is this pull out box in the armrests of the seats? Is it an ashtray? I have a hard time believing that because it's open ended in the end that slides in.
Attachment: IMG_7203.jpg - What is this slide out thing under the cup holder of the seats? Is it an ashtray? A second cup holder (albeit shallow)?
Attachment: IMG_7205.jpg - Does anyone have this style refreshment cabinet? It provides electric hot water/liquid, maybe a small cooler underneath that (less clear), a small trash bin in the back that's hard to reach, a small ice bucket, and some drawers underneath. None of which is very usable due to bad design. Anyone have a cabinet they like better? I would be inclined to just have something with some nice usable drawers. Unless someone has really dialed in the way this thing is meant to be used and loves it somehow.
Attachment: IMG_6531.jpg - Does anyone have the smoke hood (not smoke goggles)? I believe this is the EROS 15-40F item in AFM Supplement 13. It takes the whole lower drawer of the cabinet behind the cockpit, and I think I'd rather have the drawer space. Compared to the O2 mask, I don't know whether I'd be able to get the hood out of the drawer, then it's box, and put it on in any kind of actual emergency. I'm told they can't be easily repacked, so I can't open it and try it without sending to some kind of $pecialty shop. If anyone thinks it is invaluable I'd be interested in the reasoning.

A few quick responses:
iPad holder IPad Mini velcro'd to face of yoke works perfectly for me.
Place for sunglasses etc, whatever Cubby in console behind trim indicators - priceless - ripped off Anthony's design when we did Avionics upgrades
If you have headsets in back for pax, where are the jacks installed? I put them everywere and no one, I repeat no one, ever uses them
Beverage Center Ours is similar, but different. I thought the coffee warmer was cool - have never used it. No cooler. Below we have all slide out drawers for misc stuff (trash bags, napkins, playing cards, headset (never used), etc)
Other interior items: Haven't spent time back there and haven't noticed any of them.. Showed my wife - (she always sits in "bosses" chair), she hasn't noticed any of those items. I'll look.

I have goggles too, but the hood in box is… large… Is the bag attached by Velcro? I gotta say Piaggio did seem to be in love with Velcro when they put the interior together.

Googles. Not sure what you'd use a hood for as likely you'll be on O2 assuming no active fire in the cabin.

Username Protected wrote: Your interior is different than mine! Not too much. I think we have same seat layout. Maybe you have a more pragmatic cabinet. Quote: I put headset jacks inside armrests on sidewall except for boss seat which is in sidewall of cabin. Rarely ever gets used. No one uses headsets as it’s quieter than airliner!
I think I remain under the delusion that my wife may want to be able to talk to me. It is just so far back there! Quote: I put smoke hood on little shelf behind copilot seat. Hmm, that sounds a bit like what Tony is saying about the bag in his cockpit, I’ll have to ponder that location a bit. Sounds like you have a more rationally sized smoke hood. The Eros one is shown here, it weighs 5 lbs and is a box about a foot square and 3-4” deep. I don’t think I want it behind me ( or copilot). Too massive. More likely to knock me out than save me.
