When I was 3 I couldn’t even reach the rudder pedals... :duck:

Well done, looks like fun!

Doubt the engines need to run to keep them airborne. The smiles on three pilots provide all the lift needed....

Stan, it was great to see you and fly with you my friend! Greatly appreciate you flying with one of our new guys and helping him along. He did awesome, in no small part due to coaching from you and other experienced guys willing to share knowledge.

The event Stan and I were at was a formation clinic put on by NATA. We had a ton of T6s, at least 4 Mustangs, a couple of Yak 3s, and three T28s. Oh yeah, That’s all Brother showed up as well. For one too brief weekend, it felt like aviation was back to normal and it felt awesome.

Like any aviation event, the airplanes were great, but the people were even better.

Robert

Here’s another pic from that sortie. Stan’s in the pit of the middle (#2) airplane:

I can validate that it was a good time... Even though I was relegated to the Goonie Bird and some back seat hops coaching in the Mustang. Oh the inhumanity of it.
