Hello,

I'm from southern Brazil, and I'm about to start flying a 1966 Baron C55 with 300hp engine. I subscribed here to learn more about those Beechs, because I'm used to Pipers and Cessnas :D

Take a look at that bird!

Hope to learn with you, people.

My best regards

Renato,

Welcome to BT. Glad to see you know enough to post a pic. :D
What Cessna and Pipers did you fly?

And where in Brazil? I took a semester off college and spent three months on in Rio and Saquarema. I will one get back down to Brazil.

Tim

Hi Tim!

Thank you for your compliment, I'm kinda used to forums since a long time

Well, I have flown a Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee for some time, a Cherokee 180 and a Turbo Arrow IV (I really like this baby). On the multi engine side, I flew a Seneca II for some hours, for license acquiring.

Cessnas I flew a C150 and C152 during my flying lessons.

I have a lot of traildragger hours also. Here in Brazil they are basic instruction airplanes (believe it or not  ). Take a look at "Aero Boero AB-115".

About where, I lived in Rio for 1 year, but I was raised in Florianópolis, state of Santa Catarina, and now I live near Curitiba, state of Paraná.

My best wishes

Indeed, but it is tricky and deceitful :hide:

It is known for its ease in loss of control during takeoff and landing due to low rudder authority in low airspeed. So during transition from 3-point to straight-and-level or vice-versa is the more critical part.

Crosswind is dangerous

But anyway the greatest part of brazilian pilots were taught to fly in this nice bird, and in the P-56C Paulistinha, brazilian equivalent to Piper Cub but with 100hp engine. It is a challenging aircraft, being that the funniest part.
