If there is one thing I'd change about SnF and OSH it would be to eliminate the beer tent.

I'm guessing they consider the panels scrapped due to the deep scratch (structural issue) and looks like lots of rivets involved. Maybe 7-8 weeks @ $100/hr would be a reasonable basis for the insurance claim. Keep the check and use volunteer labor = lots of avgas.
