It says.....margin pressure for the typical 500 employee company (they buy light jets).
The "information age" has hit along with the financial recovery. Everyone knows how to shop every single purchase, and it has a new name.....lower margins.
Lower margins (margin compression) = fewer light jets!

Narrow seats (presumably because they are all that can fit in the narrow fuselage). If you buy a business jet to get around, don't you want first class seats rather than coach? Even if you can live with it, do you think your wife or that business associate you are trying to impress is ok with it too?
I actually reacted verbally about how cheap it looked, which of course shocked the sales rep at Oshkosh. Maybe I am a snob? +1 Interior reminds me of a rental car...

That's the difference between $2.8 million and $4.8 million! It's the same as the difference of a $40,000 car and what you'd expect out of an $80,000 car.

A Phenom may look ok, but it's sure no Gulfstream.
It's all about a price point. Go back to my origional statement about the smaller company that owns an entry jet. Gulfstream has done quite well thru this period, but the entry jets manufacturers are hurting. There's a a reason why certain products are affected more than others.

Flew (charter) in a phenom 100. I thought the interior was nice. Loved the G1000!

I think the real issue is the top 0.1% that can afford business jets can do better than this.
When you are selling something to the market that can afford a bizjet, you need to tone it up a little. I actually see no use for a Mustang. If I wanted a small Citation I would go buy a 501 for $600-700K in this current market, and fly the hell out of it....

the top brass and Wall Streeters need to leave a little in the company so we can make exciting products once again.
