Fellow BT'ers.
Brief history: grew up flying with my Dad in his Comanche 180. Started lessons in college. Ran out of money and my Mom freaked out when I was in a gear up with my instructor. That was in '83. Tried again during grad school. Tips from driving limo's wasn't enough. Years and hair color fly by. I'm the proud Dad of four and in love with superwoman so the time was right. Private '07. IFR '10. Learned in Cessna. Spent most hours flying a rented Cirrus. Spent most non-flying hours dreaming of V-tails. Joined Beechtalk in spring of 2011. Two great guys took me for a spin. Russ Hackler in Livermore, Ca. and Norm Brod in Napa, Ca. I did the typical pro/con, ran the numbers thing that you all advise till I was ready. Last November, a fellow BT'er decided he would sell his Bo and get into a 36 and beyond. I fell in love with N19WC. Bought my first plane from Mark Maddox in Houston, TX. He could not have been a finer gentleman to work with. The plane has a special pedigree. Look up John Miller if interested. Flew it home this weekend with my Bonanza instructor, Rich Prillinger, out of Palo Alto. This morning, I loaded my two youngest and wife Amie in our plane and spent the day in Carmel, Ca. It was worth every darn penny. I'll figure out the photo thing but if you look on page 1 of Peddlers, there's a bunch of photos. N19WC.

Bryan,

Congratulations! Owning a plane, and a Bonanza in particular is really terrific, but as I recall, your new plane has unique history. Wasn't it Capt. John Miller's airplane for a long time?:

I'll help Bryan out to get the pics started! It was a pleasure meeting Bryan and while I'm happy I sold the Wild Cowboy, it was very bittersweet watching them leave for California. Here are Bryan (left) and me right before they left.

Thanks Mark for the photo. Plane purred all the way home. And yes, it was Capt Millers plane for many years.

Bryan,

Congratulations on your first Bonanza. You have bought a very nice plane. I'll bet you get a lot of enjoyment as the owner and pilot.

I feel like one of my kids just moved away (I helped Mark with the purchase and sale.)

Mark, I hope you enjoy the A36.
