Hi to all!

I've been reading the forum posts for the last couple of weeks. I'm in brain overload !
There's a lot of knowledge in this group .

I'm currently flying a Glastar that I built in 2008. I used to own a 1947 V-tail and loved it. I'm in the process of selling the Glastar and will be looking for a 225 HP Debonair shortly. I operate off my 2200 ft grass next to the house and have the Mogas barrell next to the hanger.

Any sales sites other than Barnstormers,Tradeaplane,Aerotrader, and Controller that I should be watching ?

Thanks
Rex Ott

Here's a couple of photos of the Glastar and a photo of the panel when it was being bench tested.

Welcome, Rex.

Check out Peddler's talk here also if you haven't already. I think the planes selling here are better than the average run-of-the-mill you find in the other sites.

Rex,
Welcome to BT.

I like your grass strip, my C35 spent the last 35 years of its life on a municipal grass strip (I just moved it last year). I learned to fly with a tailwheel on a 30' wide grass strip with a hill in the middle, trees on one end and a lake on the other (sorta like 5 miles to school, uphill both ways ;) ). Except for the occasional mud days and when the frost comes out there is nothing better. Tires last a long time!

Do we need to call ahead for permission to land?

Jeff

No permission needed to land, but always a good idea to call. A phone call is to make sure someone is around to haul you to town and buy Lunch ! Saturdays and Sundays in the summer usually finds several planes there with plane talkers in the shop. Always a project going on with lots of advice floating around. Currently we're finishing an RV8.

We always have a fly-in potluck dinner 3rd Saturday in August. When that date gets closer ,I'll issue an invite on Beech Talk to everyone.

Rex
