Now that you SQL guys have settled on where to take your Bo's this weekend I'm going to jump in-- Reminded me that 60 years ago I rented Stearmans out of old SQL--except in those days we just referred to it as San Carlos. Old San Carlos I'm pretty sure was across Bay Shore--I distinctly remember the highway being East of the airport--I suppose it could have even been at another spot along the highway--but probaly just moved East for some reason!! Before I owned a car I hitched hiked up the highway from Stanford--I was a student after the war ended--before that I was a Navy pilot in training--flew Stearmans across the bay at Livermore!! Can't remember how much I paid for an hour--probably about $15 plus 50 cents for a parachute to sit on--went up and did aerobatics over the foothills--no radio nonsense--we just stayed away from Frisco traffic!! Those were the days!!!
