I'm holding out for a larger screen ProMax. A PFD that covers 4 instrument holes and a standard two hole MFD would be a winner.

I like that Aspen plays nice with 3rd party products - especially autopilots - but they've been dragging their feet with a large screen option. Aspen have talked about it at shows. Don't know why it's taking so long, especially if they initially focus on presenting the same current info on a larger, easier to read screen.

Dynon would be nice also, but I'm not ready to ditch my perfectly good Stec-55X autopilot.

As you probably saw, the beta version of the EI integrated EIS on the MFD500 was debuted in Oshkosh this year. Currently, Aspen is "projecting" a mid-2025 approval date. The nice thing is, since it is simply a software change without the need for any new hardware, the day it's approved, everyone will have the ability to purchase and utilize through their dealer. No "wait-list" if you will

Rest assured, I too, am very excited to see it approved. We have 2 committed customers already

As an EI fanboy, I emailed EI as soon as I saw the announcement of Aspen integration. My contact had this to say:

Quote:
I will be working with Aspen over the next few weeks on their intended AML. I spoke with their VP of Sales and it sounds like they will not be doing twin engine aircraft for 2-3 years. I had expected this. Twin STC's are almost always separate from single engine applications.

So, for those of us with two engines to feed, we'll have to wait a little longer.

Are there any promos on unlocks or extended warranties for current owners?

Thanks,
Y. Limor

Pricing on the engine monitor unlock is still TBD. Basic speculation tells me that it will be similar to the current other pricing.

For those of you with Class III airplanes, I have updated the original post to include that pricing as well. Come get it while the deals last!
