Meticulously restored 1972 Norton 750 Commando with the Combat engine. Everything works and it includes upgrades that appear on later models. One owner since 1977. Only 1827 Miles since the restoration.
Restoration includes the following: All Stainless parts including rims, spokes fenders, chain guard and most exterior bolts New aftermarket gas tank plus spare original tank Adjustable isoelastic engine mounts to replace OEM mounts Primary Drive Belt replaces Primary Drive chain Clutch Rod O-ring installed to prevent leaks into primary drive chain Barnett Clutch 3 Phase Alternator to replace Lucas single phase New Amal Carbs 13mm modification for front disk brake master cylinder (increases brake effectiveness) LED Warning Lights Electronic Ignition Digital Charge Warning Light Circuit (replaces original unreliable analog charge warning assimilator) New Pistons, Cam and Bearings Includes many additional aftermarket parts including Whitworth tools, spare belt, NOS tachometer, Oil Filter mod kit, tail lamps, tail lamp fairings, mirrors, turn signals, additional tools and more (see photo) New Battery New Exhaust pipes Various Manuals and documentation
Runs very well. Requires 94 octane or higher since the compression ratio is 10:1. I'm using 94UL and 100LL.
This bike was transported from PA (where it was in storage for the last 15 years) to CA and I'm selling this on behalf of my brother. Some minor scratches occurred to the left side cover during transportation. It's fun to ride and other than some minor surface corrosion in some spots due to storage, it's in excellent shape. Some close up photos can give you an idea of the minor surface corrosion which affects the chromed areas.
$12,500. Pick up in CA only.
