Between the seats is a large trim wheel which adjusts the flap / stabilator position. The Simpli-fly System includes the interconnection of the flaps with the stabilator. It also moves the indicator needles on the panel.
The indicator in the top center of the panel has the positions for “takeoff”, “climb”, “cruise”, on one side and “glide”, or “descent” (can’t remember now) and “landing” on the other side. One side is for “Power On” and the other is for “Power Off” settings.
The control stick controls the ailerons and the elevator, which looks like a large trim tab on the stabilator.
The half circular dial is the tachometer.

Hello Paul. I am Johnny Nimmons and I am the director of the Culver Division of the Waller County Aviation Musuem. We have two Culver Vs and would be very interested in your Culver V parts. We also have 2 Culver Cadets (LFA & LCA), 1 Culver PQ-8A, and 1 Culver PQ-14. If anyone else has Culver parts in your hangar collecting dust, we can give them a good home. Our one claim to fame is that we have the only complete collection of Culvers in the world. www.culveraircraft.org www.wallercoavmuseum.org I see that you show a Long EZ in your profile. The RAFE (Rutan Aircraft Flying Experience) used to be one of our divisions before it grew to become a stand alone organization. www.rutanaircraftflyingexperience.orgWe are located west of Houston TX. Johnny Nimmons
