WOW that's a heck of a leg for the mustang How does room in the cockpit compare to the CJ2? I've heard it is better. Heck of a lot of value in these. Seems you can get a nice version for 1.3-1.5, so a million less than a CJ2. Burns less fuel, G1000 avionics, newer... Pretty compelling!

Less of a center console seems to be the reason

I found the Mustang cockpit much more comfortable than the CJ2 where I felt like I was in a tuna can.

No control column between your legs on the Mustang helps a lot.

How come your Altitude select and Heading isn’t selected on your flight director during T/O?
Maybe it is just cant see it in the video.
EDIT: Nevermind I see you pressed the HDG after liftoff. I like to depart with TOGA which is wings level pitch up. I am hand flying. The departure was the HPN7...which is runway heading (163)to 800 Msl but only 400agl...then a climbing turn to 2000 and 320 degrees. That procedure has led to more than one inverted crash. Lot going on...acceleration. Low level turn nearly 180 degree..,level off at 2k. Decelerate. You get the leans and you are hosed. So one step at a time. Toga to 800....heading bug set to 320. Altitude to 2000. Through 800 select heading and preselect..engage AP....reduce power and monitor. Too many times when i get ahead of it by selecting heading and altitude the FD grabs it on climb out prematurely and I am left with manually flying an aircraft with a FD telling me to do something else. F that
