Hi everybody.

I'm new to the forum. I've been in aviation for a long time, but have never owned a plane. I am giving deep thought to starting a flying club that involves a twin. The 55 seems like an attractive option, but I'm here to pick your brains and probably ask some stupid questions. I'm most interested in operating costs, and methods to use in acquisition.

I'm an active military aviator with about 1500 hours, most is single engine turbine aircraft. I'm also an MEI with about 100 hours in Seminoles.

Welcome to BT, Michael. How's Havelock treating you?

Havelock hasn't changed in 17 years, and it's as ho-hum as ever. New Bern has a Chipotle and a 6000' runway so it's not all bad.

Hi Michael, welcome to BeechTalk!

Don’t know if it contains the info you need or not, but there was a recent thread on operating costs here:

Maybe not, but it's changed in 49 years. (Wow - has it been that long?)

You've found a great site here. Lots of knowledge & experience. Make sure you post pictures of your new ride.
