There is a record number of used mini-jets listed for sale and a record number of manufacturers building them. Break out your checkbook and start working the phones.

What’s the rego of the one that sold for 1.3M, I’ll look it up and advise?

Andrew

Read the thread.

If you can "look it up" go ahead and look up every Phenom 100 sale in the last 6 months. Tell us what you find.

I did. I can’t find one for 1.3M you stated, not even close.

It doesn’t exist right?

Andrew

I'm starting to think this board is ESL lately.

Jason suggested that the market conditions are such that, with determination and grinding sellers' testicles off, you should be able to get a P100 for 1.3.

What he did not say was that he thumbed controller the other day in his dentists office and found 5 listings at 1.3.

I don't think he has any P100s to sell you, nor are his own shrewd acquisition skills available for rent, but I could be wrong. You could always politely ask him to purchase you a 1.3MM Phenom 100 and negotiate his fee for that service. I bet he'd deliver too.

I'm already this close *puts fingers together* to asking him if he'll borrow me $600K for an Avanti! ;)

OK Seriously. Oh wait

The cheapest listed at $1.865. Even grinding the testicles off and breaking both kneecaps can one get that big a break? Now boats? Hell yeah. But a Phenom?

Have to agree with Jason here, despite being a Pilatus driver, many are looking at asking prices and doing the 'seller's math' - not necessarily where ac trade or will trade once some time passes and a real buyer can execute,....same with many assets- sellers and brokers set asking prices but even if Jason is slightly off more trades happen closer to 1.3 than 2m for phenom 100.

many sitting on market for higher asking, because no one buys unless immediate value exists which does not in Phenom asking well above 1.3, even then they would not all sell immediately.

Lol. You find me a decent Phenom for $1.3 with an engine program and I’ll buy your next 10,000 gallons of kerosene

Edit: Hope I’m not screwing up Jason’s beat down of the market in advance of his planned Phenom acquisition ;)

Some sellers may, because they don't give a %#$@ at that point.

I find this to be the exception rather than the rule.

The majority of sellers won't tell you they sold the plane for less than they think it is worth, which describes every airplane transaction I know of.

In the used turbine aircraft market, the majority of 7-8 figure transactions are handled by brokers - on both sides of the table. Brokers talk to each other and willingly share information every day - that’s what they do and they have a vested interest in obtaining and sharing market info. They also have no incentive to inflate transaction prices. If you think this is all a BS fraud (when have I heard that before), that’s fine. There are various serious players of all sizes (JetAviva, Premier, etc.) who rely on this type of research and don’t think it’s a fraud despite its limitations.

Now if you think someone can grind someone else’s balls and get a 40% discount from the asking price, as a buyer’s broker, don’t you think you’d want other buyers to know you are such an able negotiator? Wouldn’t that be a marketable trait?

On the other hand, as a seller’s broker, when you are setting expectations with your customer, is it smart to let him frame the transaction for a world class beating?
