FWIW, my Super Viking has a similar powerpack, which we had to replace a year or so ago. We used Powerpacks Plus, which had an overhaul/exchange on the shelf for us. Kelly (Turbine Rotables) was going to need to overhaul our actual pack. Just FYI.

If you look closely at some piper power packs in 12v planes, you might see an extra part number that looks like a mercruiser part number. Marina parts prices are a lot lower than piper prices.

Not possible to diagnose on the WWW. Just giving you some ideas. I generally do not cabbage on to the idea of throwing parts at a problem, but if you do not have an obvious hydraulic leak, I think $900 for a newly overhauled power pack assembly, plus the labor to swap it, would be less cost than throwing money at labor to source the internal leak. Either way, you've got the labor for jacking the plane and operational checks. After that, it's about an hour labor to swap the power pack. There are 3 "rubber" mounts/isolation dampers you should consider buying ahead of the power pack swap.
Again, I'm not one to throw money at parts, this would hinge heavily on time since last overhaul of each component in the system and also who overhauled same. $900 could be spent in half a day with a couple guys clocked in on your dime, and still not know for certain what the problem is. Pick a good shop that has experience troubleshooting these systems.
If we're me, and my plane, I'd start with the power pack assembly and spend the $900 exchange. While its out, use a pressurized brake bleeder to flush the system so you have fresh fluid throughout. There is a filter that should have already been replaced

Yes, identical..........except for the "sticker".
This is why I've said many times that the Bonanza series began from conception as an aircraft and only an aircraft. There are many boat and tractor parts on the other X brands. Nothing wrong with that, but this does offer a glimpse of what Brand X(s) were willing (or not) to sacrifice to bring it to market. This is also just one of the many reasons I love the Beech landing gear system. It was engineered superbly from the beginning, and remains King to this day with only minor improvements.

Around $900 for the part. I think Kelly wanted more than that for the overhaul alone.

Call Dick at Pifer's Airmotive. (800)-878-0909. There isn't anything that he doesn't know about this powerpack. He is a really nice guy and has been repairing these things for years. I will caution you though. He loves to talk..
