How are you guys with the Shaw 416-25 caps getting the small O-ring on over the shaft? I had to roll mine on from the bottom, over the threads and into the groove where it sits. It just seems like it's a lot of stress on the O-ring to have to do it this way.

I'm all out of Shaw 416 kits until the next order comes in.

As for the Gabb caps, the o-ring will be lose when you put it on but when you reassemble the cap and you close the plunger, it will fit nicely by design. These O-rings are the O-rings that the parts catalogue calls for except they are fluorosilicone and much more durable. Parker says these have a 15 year shelf life. The cotter pin for the Gabb caps goes in the bottom for the chain eye.

I just found this thread and was wondering, can I still get in on the deal? I will stop by the hangar on the way home and get the part number. I do know I have the Shaw caps. Probably the 3" version as I have an early model.

My 79 Tiger has the flush caps. Next time I am out at the airport, I will see which model and see if you can provide me an O-ring kit out of what you have.
