This was the departure radar. Funny exchange with the controller. (I don't have a parachute ) KSWF is about 10 o'clock and 6 miles. I wasn't in any particular hurry. Just going to the Citation Service Center for a right main tire change. ($1,200 for one tire plus labor)

Anybody else trying to takeoff at the same time? Be interesting to see what they did.... I would'a done what you did! John I believe he's starting to make prudent decisions now that he's getting a true second in command in the cockpit..........strangely enough with the same last name as yours but apparently with a sweeter disposition

Lost 15 knots from 1000agl to 100agl and the remaining 15 in the last 100 feet. I was primed for a go around expecting the bottom to fall out but was vref plus 30 at 1000ft and ended up at vref plus 0 at 10 feet. What was odd to me is that it wasn't that bumpy. I have never experienced on that extreme. I got wind checks from the tower twice on the approach. Would you have gone to another airport?

Holy moly. That's is quite a spread. Least you had the runway for it. Hats off. Short runway or short on experience and that could have been ugly.

For sure, short runway, punt and head elsewhere. But in this case, long runway, lots of fuel to go elsewhere, I tried to find a reason not to do attempt it and I couldn't.

As promised...John L's 18 year old pride and joy. Gurl got game! John...you raised her right. She also made $1,000. Had the time of her life. She is six feet tall and slender as a supermodel. Ate that Cowboy Cut Ribeye like it was an appetizer! How does she do that! All this during the week before college finals. One quote from her that I didn't capture on video was the answer to my question "when are you going to join BT...you can join in the chat with a bunch of old guys like me and your dad. " Her response...image the disdainful tone from an 18 yr old college freshman " yeah...that sounds like a lot of fun".
