I know they rent APU's on "Power by the Hour" programs; Do they do this with main engines as well? IIRC , large airlines can lease planes, engines and GSE by the hour.

What would it cost to lease engines for a small jet or turboprop? Say, Beechjet, or Citation?

You can but it is mega expensive. For example a pratt for an eclipse is close to $400 an hour plus a monthly rate thats almost $1000 a day.

Perhaps a third party is cheaper for more common engines.

Does anyone lease PW J15D's? how much? there are a lot of Citations out there.
