Bought a C185, '81' this week. It has been a long painful process, at times, buying her from Canada but looks like the end is in sight now. Look forward to becoming proficient in a fun airplane and upgrading her to a basic IFR platform (see Panel talk). Perhaps I can make the trip west to the Cascade flyin next summer... IO 520 with 8.5x6's. Got to taxi her today for the first time prior to compression check/annual. I know pics or it didn't happen. More when new N's on and out of annual.
