Robert,
Nice plane. I love the Ozarks. So sunset in the Ozarks after flying in a Bonanza, that's a good life... :D :D

Go here

and watch the video... amazing how you can "start" the engine with photoshop.
This guy is good, but I don't even own photoshop so truly academic for me.

Here is 4434L, a 1956 G35. Yes it is photo shopped; plane taken in front of our hangar and the background I took on a Colorado Mule Riders ride in 1998 overlooking Drowsey Water Creek in Colorado. My wife had a friend of mine assemble them together, and gave it to me for a present.

Frank,
Good picture but that prop looks a little too still. How did you get rid of the gear in the picture?

Engine overhaul completed 10 hrs ago. So far no issues whatsoever. Finally getting enough good weather days in a row that I can fly off of our turf strip fairly regularly now.

Here's a pic from a trip to Madison, MS last week to see my daughter's band competition. The other pic is in front of my hangar after the return home. (I live on an airpark in Hernando, MS).

By the way, I put a new Whelen LED strobe on the bottom during the overhaul. Every neighbor has asked me about it. "Wow! Where'd you get that strobe! It's so bright!" Even during the daytime. Obviously I haven't seen it from the ground myself, but it must be a bright one!

Brian,
Nice and classy. I'm interested in the LED lighting, but not sure I'm going to use Whelen. Seems like overkill for a PAR36 replacement. Especially for a Taxi Light.

Jay,
The Whelen light was pretty pricey - around $550 if I remember. When I bought the plane it didn't have a lower rotating beacon at all. Someone had put a circular plate over the original mounting holes and put an inoperative remote strobe on it. The wire leads weren't even hooked to anything. I decided to go ahead with the Whelen LED because it really wasn't more expensive than totally replacing the missing Grimes rotating beacon (of course somebody sold a used one in Peddlers recently). It should also last for 20,000 hrs and uses way less amperage. That's why I went with the LED.

I recently replaced my upper landing light bulb with another PAR one. I think it was $15 or less. No brainer. I hear the LED landing lights are really bright, but I'm satisfied with the standard incandescent ones. I just needed a complete replacement of the lower beacon/strobe. That's why I went with the new LED unit.

-Brian
