I don't see 17 GPH as being possible.

Obvioulsy I was kidding about 17gph. But it's not 170 either. I'm betting 120gph.

Using the Pilatus website numbers, I get about 150 gph average for an entire flight. Cruise is probably close to that fuel flow. Climb would be higher, descent and holding, less. Back of a napkin figures but I'm betting in the ball park.

Sounds about right. That's where the Phenom 300 is FF wise and they seem about the same size.

That's an ultra competitive market - it won't be as meteoric as the PC12 IMHO.

From Pilatus press release:

"The list price (price basis 2017) is approx. USD 8.9 million. First orders will be taken at EBACE 2014."

PC12 Max Payload w/ full fuel = 1,209 lbs
PC24 Max Payload w/ full fuel = 915 lbs

The projected range on the PC24 is farther than the PC12, so you could lower fuel load to some degree on the PC24 but I would guess that at the end of the day, the PC12 will win in the payload race between the two, especially considering that they are likely to get much heavier in between concept and certification.

Jets are cool but SE Turboprops are really difficult to beat for efficiency and load carrying capability.

I'm just glad they kept the Honeywell. I've really been sweating Pilatus switching to Garmin. A move like that would decimate my planes value.

SE TP vs. Jet....... I agree
