Here it is, thought that it was better to start a new thread

Here's a W & B with 4 adults and 3 hr range - approx 330 nm with 1 hr reserve

Attachment:
DA42 W & B.pdf

Its a 2006 DA42 that is being freshened with new exterior, new leather interior, factory new 2.0 L Theilerts and overhauled props. It has approx 750 hrs on airframe and is well equipped with FIKI TKS, G1000, GDL69A, Stromscope, Long range fuel tanks, and VG's.
I have about 150 hrs of DA42 time and expect 165 - 170 KTAS depending on altitude at 9 - 11 gph total fuel burn.

I loved my 414 but early this year my mission took a big change as I was elected as a Director of a large company based out of Calgary, AB (here's link if anyone is interested -http://ufa.com/aboutUFA/directors.html). A large percentage of my flights will now be solo and under 200 nm. My experience in the DA42 shows that it is the best fit for my new mission:
- almost 20 mpg
- all weather'ish
- burns Jet A which is a huge savings with my Colt card, over $2/gal cheaper than 100LL in my area
- can easily perform out of less than 3000 ft
- still fast and roomy enough to take family on trips

I hope to pick up early June.

Tim was right - all about the mission!

Sounds like a great decision! Talk about an operating cost difference!

Congratulations! Looking forward to "seeing" it!

I really like the looks of the DA 42. I had a guy that wanted to lease me one in 2007 but I was afraid on the maintenance cost and potential downtime due to parts availability. I love everything else about the plane. Has Theilert gotten their problems resolved?

Thanks Rick

Maintenance costs have gotten better as all the clutch's and gearboxes are (or soon to be) 600 hr items and engine TBR's have been extended to 1500 hrs (but if you are part 91 you can run them as long as you like) Parts availability and pricing are very stable and predictable and Theilert / Centurion are operating smooth and hopefully come out of the receivership soon.

Thanks and it would be great to see you again, not sure that I'll bring Brandon this time as he seems to be causing rough landings in Sedona

Thanks Nate!

Its a real bonus burning 1/4 the fuel of the 414, but I will really miss the pressurization!
