My wife (Susan) and I picked up our first Bonanza a couple weeks ago... 1987 F33A. Very excited and happy to be part of the community. I've been on BT for the last 6 months learning a ton in prep for the purchase.

Many thanks to Dave Boyd, Paul McCracken and many others on this forum who regularly lend their brilliance to us all!

Now all the little additions start... Anybody have an Illustrated Parts Catalog for the TCM IO-520BB? :bang:

More pics to come...

Congrats, Erik!

To borrow a line from the old Toyota Commercial ...

Oh what a feeling!!!

Now, how can we help spend more of your money?

This was at Santa Barabara on the 30th. Tried to get the ocean with dolphins jumping and bikini clad girls playing volleyball in the background but then figured you all just wanted to see the plane...

not so sure about that. Some of us still have some life left in us other than Beech and 100 LL. Nice plane and welcome to the gang of 15000 lunatics--and growing with you and your wife as additions. Dont we get to see what you want to replace on the inside now? Lets see, time for an Aspen GTN 750, 530W and some traffic or weather avoidance for starters. Then comes the JPI if you dont have it already. That just about adds up to close to 50 AMU's for starters.

Have a great time. That s a great traveling machine

As for the first question about the parts catalog for the IO 520 BB, I just happen to have one that does not match up with the IO550's I have now. It is in clean original condition with a publication date of 1985 Form X30040A

I have no idea what it is worth today. PM me

Thanks Eric!
Lived in SoCal for 10+ years and vaguely planning a trip back to visit family in Westwood in my Bo. Never flown myself in that busy airspace.
Trying to decide on airports......

If you're going to Westwood, closest would be KSMO, KVNY as an alternate. Just grab an LAX TAC before you come. It's easy to fly in from the west, stay north of the Bravo airspace, then turn south to KSMO. Never have to enter the LAX Bravo at all.

Let me know if you come this way. I know a few Bo pilots and A&Ps in the area already.

Register for Aviator Services (TCM Link) on the CMI website. It's free.
