How does an airplane like this have only 182 hours?? Why would you buy this thing and not fly it?
That thing would have 800 hours on if it I bought it in 2007. It is kind of crazy. I had a good friend that bought a New C90B in 1996 and sold it after ten years. It had 900hrs TTA&E and he kept upgrading the engines and put over 100 AMU in new avionics just before he sold it. Someone got themselves a nice low time C90B that looked new inside and out. Russ

I'm sure the first thought as to the reason this TBM hit the market is financial.
Here's another thought.....
Most guys I see with TBMs aren't real young and are mostly owner/operated. It takes a while to build the wealth to own (and especailly operate one), so that may explain the age. Can you imagine loosing your medical shortly after delivery of your dream toy? It happens.
I don't want to steal this thread, but it brings up an interesting thought. How much do you put all your eggs in one basket?
Is it better to have a AME jerk you out of your easy-to-afford Bonanza that has allowed you maintain a variety of other hobbies and interests, or throw your chances to the wind, consolidate your interests, and make big game aviation your life?

base annuals min price was 5,000.00 than they started chargin, the plane was a 2006, our last annual was 30,000.,,, the 100hr inspections were around 3-6 grand, engine overhaul was 250,000 at 3,800 hrs with a hot section inspection at 1,800, and mandatory starter/generator rebuilt at 1,800 at the cost in today dollars of i think it was around 30,000.. we flew it 400 + per year, there's always something wrong with a pressurized plane ,it expands and contracts everytime you fly, it would cost around 1,200.+- TO GO FROM pA TO kWEST IN FUEL,ONE WAY,,,MY BONANZA DID IT LAST WEEK ON 400.00 it's just the old saying,,,the more it cost, the faster it goes, the more it costs!!, but if you can afford it there's nothing better than high altitude flying ,above the s#*t is a whole lot better than in it!!

Meridians at optimum altitude, get 35 GPH at 250-260 knots TAS (Nov '09 AOPA). It's decent preformance if you get your assigned altitude, the trip length justifies the climb (300 nm or so), and you don't need additional range beyond 900 nm.
