Thanks for the kind words Glenn. The owners took up a collection and insisted on paying for the fuel so all I had to do was fly the plane.

I think Perrin is talking about the original Ted Smith Aerostar Jet. I think Ted had that in mind when he first designed the Aerostar.

To do the original design, they need to length the body by a section (which is like 36in) in front in front of the wing. They also need to add a lot of structure to the tail section to handle the stress.
To hang the engines from the wing required covering over where the normal piston engine is, and creating new fuel tanks in that area; that was it.

Jim Christy Interesting that a Wankel engine was a thought at the time. This thing would have sold on the looks alone, some third-world dictator would have probably ordered a bunch with hard-points.
