Hello All Well my story is, aviation has been in my family since the late 1800s. Yes the late 1800s. I will explain if anyone is interested. I started flying in the 1979 and thought I wanted to fly the big iron. But I got married, had kids and so on. Needless to say I couldn't finish my ticket. Fast forward to 1998. I met a guy at KRHV who had his own personal small fleet of aircraft, one of which was a 172 that was sitting out side his FBO not being used. So he offered to let me use it. So I got my PPL a while later, and was one of the greatest days of my life. But because of my business that caters to mostly high tech company's here in Silicon Valley, and the way the economy is I haven't been able to fly much. However I have had the privilege to fly with friends in several BOs and even a King Air C90. And many others. Beech by far is the best. So currently I'm grounded, but I like to keep informed and BT is the BEST site I have come across. The tech info, the humor and the people. I don't usually do the forum thing. However when the day comes their will be a BO in my stable. Thanks Don

BT, what a great learning platform for someone new to the Beechcraft pilot's hanger. Stuart, Great plane and you're in a great location. There's a ton of Beech guys in Texas, most of them are idiots <g> ... well, maybe just nuts... but a lot of fun. You'll love the Bo, and enjoy all the get togethers down there.....

Keith, I'm not totally clear on the origin of the paint scheme....probably some Irishman's idea of a good paint job.....I found a piece of paper in the plane with a sketch of a 4-leaf clover with the words "try this next time" written below it...a helpful fly-in suggestion I'm sure......

O.K. Here go's My great grand uncle is John J. Montgomery (why am I even telling this?) I don't want to get into specifics. It's a long story. Their was even a movie, with Glen Ford called Gallant Journey. My brother Craig is finishing a book about his history. Should be out soon. I put a link to a page but I don't know if it will work. If not just Google. Here is my thing I am knot here to proclaim anything. I just brought it up if someone is interested. http://www.flyingmachines.org/mont.htmlDon

Don You do have an interesting lineage. BTW, the link you posted will only work on your own computer as it references a file on your hard drive. You'd need to transfer that file to a web server somewhere (personal web page on your ISP perhaps).
