I figured that I would take a few moments to introduce myself. I have been in the military for 14+ years now and I am just about to take my first set of non-flying orders. I figured that this was a better time than any to rationalize getting my own airplane. In particular, I would love to get a V35. I fell in love with them when I was a kid and although I like the Mooney, the V35's seem to hold themselves together better than the M20J's.
I flew prior to going into the military and have flown T-34C's, T-2C's, T-45C's and F/A-18C's during my career. I have been looking for about a year now, but haven't found an aircraft that seems to have the right balance of engine time, avionics and price. I figure I just have to be patient and something will eventually come along.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi.
Take care! Dave

Engine should be here Thursday. I think I'm going to the Wing this time... Should be back in the seat around September. I'll be in my corner of the hangar this week - stop by sometime.

Welcome to the forum, Dave, and thanks for your service. There are several on BT that that can provide a lot of assistance in your search - Max Grogan and Neal Schwartz come to mind. If you find something on your own, post it here and someone probably knows the airframe. Fill out your profile so folks here know where you're located. Also, maybe you knew it, but the V35 model was only built in 1966-67. Perhaps you meant "V-tail." Go Navy - Beat Army.

It was late when I typed that. As far as year goes, I dont know if I have a preference. I like the panels in the V35B's, but I have seen some upgraded panels in older aircraft that I have liked as well. I almost bought an M35 a few months ago, but couldn't come to an agreement on price...... Dave
