Jay The second video of the tumble is essentially a lomcevak-like maneuver. To make it a little easier to ride through, from left knife-edge on a 45-degree up line, I typically use full right rudder and full right aileron/full-forward elevator rather than left rudder and full left aileron and forward elevator. The airplane starts an outside snap roll and rotates around all three axes. I usually apply the tumble-inducing inputs at < 100 KIAS, and the Extra has enough energy to go around three times before it degrades into an inverted spin. Entered smoothly, the maneuver induces -1.5 to -2.0 G. Initiating with more energy and/or a harder push results in a more rapid snap and more negative G.

Very nice Bruce. I like your instructions and checking with the passenger / student on how he is doing. I did about two hours of aerobatic instruction in a Citabria a long time ago. But the instruction wasn't as clear as yours and I must admit I was just a little green when we were done.
