Dear members : Located in Durbanville just outside Cape Town , I am new to the Beechcraft scene and have been flying my Piper Archer 11 for a few years. Two of my flying buddies (one with a A36 and the other with a F33A ) convinced me to buy into the Beech family and I found this very original 1981 B 58 with TTAF 3000hrs. She has not flown since 2009 and needs some extensive maintenance work e.g. MPI , all SB's , SIL and prop overhauls. After standing for all this time ,the mechanics replaced the oil , fitted new filters , added fuel and charged the batteries. Both engines fired on the first crank and we were in 7th heaven !! Can't wait to fly her.

Welcome aboard, Pierre. Post a couple of pics of your B58. Lived in South Africa, in the Transvaal, for four years. My wife was born there. Been on top of Table Mountain twice. Love you country and the beauty of Cape Town. Stellenboush produces some of the best wines I've had and is a beautiful area in Cape Province. :cheers:

Thank you all very much for the hearty welcomes and interest in the B58. I will be posting some pics soon - the only problem is that she is at the AMO for the refit at Wonderboom near Pretoria , about 700nm from Cape Town. With a bit of luck we will fly here in late Dec.
Joe and any other visitors , when in CT please contact me and we will arrange a scenic flight for you and company. Glenn , I would love to arrange a fly-in to Cape Town in the future !! Bill , I am glad you enjoyed your stay while living in TVL and it is time now for a nice visit to CT for some more good wine and lovely scenery with Table Mountain firmly on the map and in the news. Another reason for a visit to South Africa at present is the favourable exchange rate -- we need you guys to spend your dollars here !!
