Greetings to the members and Admins of the Board ! James Flemming here, I reside in Houston, work in Corpus Christie, and do my maintenance/upgrades in Orange, Texas. Went over to Scottsdale, AZ and looked over a 67 model V-35TC that was offered by a broker (Baron Thomas). Spent a day researching the logbooks before I ever went out on the ramp to see the plane....like they say, every airplane has a story to tell. Got a quote on insurance, wrote a check or two (OUCH ) and flew it to Orange October 7th. Have been reading ALOT of the material here, seems to be alot of very knowledgeable folks on here with very good advise and observations. Background in flying...bought a '68 Cardinal that had firewall bent, repaired that and almost everything else on it.... and used that to train in after it was airworthy. Yes, I work with an A&P IA, so it wasn't a shade tree kind of thing ! Since then, have moved thru a C182, a Piper 180 and now the V tail. I plan on keeping the Piper 180 for short hops and training. Have about 375 hours total, still a VFR driver, and have TONS to learn about this new machine. I plan to install a 530W, a S-TEC 65 with altitude preselect, Flight director, GMA 340, and MAYBE a 330 with TIS. Appreciate everthing you guys and gals have shared so far, and looking forward to learning more. Will share some pictures of the plane after I change the radio stack and tail number... I think you'll appreciate the new "N" when you understand I sold two airplanes off to buy this one.... N147U will change to N8241.

For those of you that can get past the fact this was an advertisement for the aircraft, videos are on the "tube" Exterior [youtube:1tkpe0bb]http://youtu.be/4S0-DaAFqZE[/youtube:1tkpe0bb] Facts : A rare factory-turbocharged Beechcraft V35-TC Bonanza. Offering exceptional hot and high performance, this sweet little V-tail airplane has been owned and flown by the same owner for the last 12 years and has just 5150 hours total time since new. The engine has only 1040 hours since major overhaul, and just 170 hours have elapsed since a fresh propeller, turbo and top overhaul. The annual inspection was completed in December 2010. The panel features King IFR avionics, including a KX-170B Nav/Comm, an MX-170B Nav/Comm, a KLN-94 color GPS and a KT-76 TXPD. The aircraft is also equipped with a WX-10 Stormscope. Additional features include GAMI's, a JPI Engine Monitor, Speed Slope Windshield, Rosen Visors, Four-Place Intercom, Standby Electric Attitude Indicator, Oxygen and Strobes. It does get with the program, left Phoenix at 11:30, stopped for an hour in route, and arrived at KORG at 19:15. did burn 90 gallons, though....GOT to learn that lean of peak process or I will be just washing it for the next few months ! BTW, Drew... my "home" airport IS KDWH... when I get home.....

I would suggest a PS Engineering 8000b intercom instead of the Garmin 340. It's a better unit. Great idea, but I have the 340 laying around already .

James,
Welcome to Factory Turbo ownership! Mine has been in the family since 1976. It is amazing how many V35TC and V35A-TC's have traded hands in the past few months.
And I'd be all for a small sub-group of 35TC owners. let me know if Brandon and the other are interested.
