Hello.

I've been on reading posts and talking lightly with a few folks. It's been great.

I saw someone in another post get re-directed here for introductions. So, before I am chastised, here goes:

Pilot: Single Commercial Instrument. About 500 hrs, with only 40 or so in the last 15 years. 30 of that in the last 5 months in the plane I bought. Summary is that it is coming back. Other than that, moving map GPS, XM Weather, and on-line briefing and filing seem like cheating a bit, but I love it. I am due an IPC and have been flying hooded VFR quite a bit. I've also done much study. New challenge is plane ownership and all it is made up of.

Plane: 1966 V35TC. 5k hours. 1100 and 14 yrs SMOH on TSIO 520-D. Compressions are good and absolutely no oil leaks except on the turbo waste gate controller which is being fixed now. Oil consumption is 2 quarts in more than 30 hours. I can hardly believe it.

Not really important what is in the plane now, but the highlights are Garmin 430W, Garmin 337 Transponder, Collins HSI, Electric and Vacuum Horizons, JPI 800, Narco 12D, Narco DME, and my favorite.... S-Tec System 50.

On 1/17, all comes out to be reinstalled with the following as highlights: Garmin G500, Garmin 430W, Garmin SL30 Nav/Com, Garmin 340 Audio Panel, Narco DME, S-Tec 50, and Auracle Engine Monitor.

Anyway, I am glad to be here.

Welcome, Michael. Nice to meet a man who doesn't believe in doing airplanes by halves.

Michael,

Like ice skating/roller skating - the muscle memory comes back quick its only the changes in the rules and regulations that take the additional time to adapt to and learn. Welcome aboard!

It fell off on the flight back from GA to TX. Dropped in the Mississippi River. I circled back, but couldn't find it. Flies fine without it, so no worries.

Beauty!!

Greg...check your hangar...I think he stole your plane.

Only the prop was changed to protect the innocent....

Randy, does look like mine with the rudder missing.
As for the prop, I just put the darn thing on, sure hope he got full retail for it.
