Let's see a new 850 goes for about 2.4mil the twin would probably be 4mil. Seems to be alot of nice jets out there for that price.

The KA is MUCH larger and heavier with much more drag. A six seat twin turbine with decent room (not KA size) maybe not cabin class could really be fast. If it had decent range of 1,200 NM with IFR reserves, it could sure fill a niche. There is no logical step up from the 58P IMO. One goes to a much larger KA or to a turbine single.
Best,
Dave Sure sounds like you are describing an EA500 or Mustang.

That is exactly the Mustang's niche - single pilot / 5 pax / 330 kts / 1150 nm - $3MM list but deals are being made.

Best,
Dave PBaron Cougar conversion or RR500 turbines would give it the 1200 nm range.

Quote: PBaron Cougar conversion or RR500 turbines would give it the 1200 nm range. Nobody knows about the RR500, but the Cougar conversion doesn't get close to that. Rocket is claiming a max VFR range of 975nm at "normal cruise" (285kts at FL250). http://www.cougarbaron.com/content/specificationsThis wouldn't stop me as I don't need really long legs, but others will feel differently.
