However, PITA might just be more a factual description of the organization.

An RV-10 only doing 170mph, must have been IAS or he was climbing! As for building a new wing.....you can order a QB wing, rewire it and plumb it, close off the bottom and paint it, refit, couple of days work! Try that in your Bananna Boat's fella's Hit a big chook like that in any GA plane and you are happy to only have that damage I reckon. And Lean of BEAK.... well thats about 190MPH in my Retard Vehicle -10, imagine Richer Lucky thing it was an RV, had it been an A320 it would have been ditched in a creek somewhere DB Hey Pat, who is your mate in TX? He will get around 180 knots and LOP he should do 160 knots +/- 4 depending on load and conditions running LOP at 40-42 LPH. This is what Bonanza folk get used to looking at.... Taken from a beaten V35B, can you guess who? Quote: A view of the Retard Vehicle that, unfortunately, many aircraft will need to get used to. PPS: I have been informed by the V35B guy that the pilot of the V35B was an amateur and the guy driving the RV-10 was a pro. That will confuse some of you....

Quote: He says he expects 170 kts. Tell him he is dreaming. Seems to be the norm among RV pilots!

Thems fightin words Funny though March you say...... trouble is Vans are pumping out orders for RV10, 7, 8,9 &12's faster than anyone would believe after the GFC, so it does surprise me he has to wait that long, but it is believable! Has he tried the VAF forum looking for a wing kit that is close by that someone is not ready to use yet, you never know when a freidly RV'er will come to the rescue! Now for some trouble..... Quote: Tell him he is dreaming.
Seems to be the norm among RV pilots I guess you never looked at the TAS too often when you were flying it

Lots of people who ended up with involuntary early retirement over the past couple of years. About 6 months in, their wives order them a kit to get them out of the house and into the garage
