Pretty cool. Hope they get one to market.

It was cruising in the mid 20's' at 300+ knots.

There is one based at our field that I see often. Does anyone know the aircraft type code for a D-Jet--if so, I should be able to find it on Flightaware?

I frequently hear one on Kansas city center, how much are they going to retail for, have they ever said?

Yeah, I tried that, but didn't get any hits on Flightaware--that could be indicative of a wrong code or simply that there are no D-Jets currently airborne.

They may just be using "Experimental" as their type. If so their type for ATC purposes would be "HXC"

Cool - my buddy has had a deposit on one for years; how anyone can be so patient is beyond me.

More than likely they have the tail number blocked as well. According to the Diamond at OSH they have been flying for more than three years now. Price of $2 million range if my memory serves me correctly. Cool plane.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but ATC frequently addresses DA-40s and higher as "DiamondJets." Granted, you won't find a DA40 at FL200 doing 300 kts, but many of the calls to a DiamondJet are really just addressing a plain-old Diamond piston plane.

I think it may have been a Mitsubishi Diamond.
