I know this is a Beech forum, but you may know someone with this plane.

Immediate and recurring inspections of the rudder hinge bracket. Corrosion issues. Replace many times evidently until they fix the problem. One plane only had around 100 hours and the rudder was close to being lost. The second had around 200 hours.

My hanger mate just got hit with this AD. Seems strange as the 350 does not seem to have that much rudder authority anyway .

He tells me that 2 Colombia's have had some other more serious issues that are not well known (structural). Possible break area around the tail.

With Cessnas other "company" issues hope for all concerned these are taken care of.

Guess my SB on flap hinges is not that big a deal.

This is another one of those ADs that reads worse than it really is. The check requires removal of the rudder the first time, then just a quick visual thereafter.

They are saying that Cessna will have a new hinge bracket soon. Shutting down the Bend plant won't speed it up any though that is for sure.

Apparently this is more serious for those who have stored outdoors in the gusts. I did see one picture that showed a pretty serious crack in the lower bracket
