Cubcrafters (http://www.cubcrafters.com/news/17-cubcrafters-announces-carbon-cub-demo-days ) is making the rounds doing demo flights of their Carbon Cub SS, so I flew up to Lake Texoma Saturday to check 'em out.

Full disclosure: Not a Beech.

But wow, the fun factor is off the charts! This thing will take off in about 30 feet, and the stall speed is so slow we had it going 0 ground speed into a 25k head wind. I don't want to give up my Beech, but I sure would like one of these things, I could keep it right here at the house!

Check 'em out!

A Cub sitting next to the Baron in the hanger would be a dream come true. I would name them Fun and More Fun.

Keith: A gaggle of us flew out to Cedar Mills for breakfast Sunday and saw "Russell Miller (sp)?" and the Carbon Cub there doing more demo flights. Sorry I missed ya

We've done some work for him--seems like a good guy.

I've rented the carbon cub out here at Stark's Twin Oaks and it is a hoot. I hadn't flown a taildragger in over twenty years, glad I still knew how to dance! I'm looking forward to a nice sunny day and take my six year old for a flight along the river with the windows clipped up to the wing
