I am currently a student. I am taking lessons out of Santa Rosa (KSTS) in a Zodiac 601 XL. A fun little plane. I did my first solo last Wednesday and it was fantastic. Looking forward to my up-coming x-country (if the darn wind would calm down).

I am interested in a Skipper but don't know anyone in the area that owns one. Does anyone know of anybody in Nor Cal that might be willing to chat and go up for flight (I'll happily pay costs)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hmmm.... I insure several flight schools in the area but I have not seen a Skipper in the fleets. I'll keep an eye out.

Welcome. My first love was a 78' Archer - I know, not a Beech Skipper, but a true 4-place entry level airplane. This was first airplane in which I received my private ticket. It flies great-the AM4 Lycoming 360 (180 HP) engine is a solid engine. It was recently annualed and showed good compressions. I had all the hoses replaced. The panel isn't fancy. I will be listing it for sale after we replace all the glass and the interior. The skins have some hail dings but is otherwise sound. I attached a photo if you're interested in learning more. The price will be somewhere in the low 40's. We're based out of Concord.

Hello Ladies and Gents. I have been lurking for a couple weeks here, and finally decided to introduce myself. I've known Jeff (Baron owner) for a few years now (met on AOPA board). I never thought about owning a Bo until I finally made my way over to this board and witnessed all these gorgeous aircraft you guys own.

Anyway, I'm 25 and engaged. I'm currently working on my CFI rating and getting close to wrapping up a 4 year degree in the mean time. I was introduced into flying when I was a youngster by my Dad; many uncles that also fly. I'm a partial owner with my Dad in a pa28-180 (I'll post a picture).

Some day we'll own some sort of Bo, I'm leaning towards a TNA36, but who knows.

Hello Everyone,

I've been a member lurking for a while now and thought it was time to introduce myself.

My name is Steve Miles I own a '77 Sundowner, N3342L, that has just been through the ringer at KLUX getting a very thorough annual by the guru's of the BAC

I'm a bigger guy with a bad back and the two doors, low cost insurance, Beech quality, and ample headroom are what sold me on the Sundowner. Most of my trips are in the midwest 2-4 hours and the Sundowner is the perfect ride for me.

I've owned N3342L for almost nine years and have invested a lot in the past 2 years to make this the plane I plan to keep for a while:

GX50 approach certified, STec 50 w/alt hold and GPSS stearing, new Garmin audio panel, 340 IIRC, 2 audio inputs, front and rear, one for my ipod and the other for the kids DVD player, new gear donuts, nose gear re-built with new shims, concorde RG battery, new glass, new leather interior, new soundproofing, LoPresti Hubba-Hubba caps, nosewheel inner cover, gascolator fairing, all new air ducts throughout, Corosion-X'ed from spinner to tail cone, etc, etc, etc.

Since getting her rigged properly at KLUX I see 115 kts true on 8.6 gph at 3500, pretty much Beech honest book figures. I haven't had a chance to get her higher to see how she does at say 7-9,000 and best power since the re-rigging

I live in the St Louis area and am based at KSET.

I'm a PPSEL for almost 20 years now. (Man does time fly when you're having fun). I hope to get my instrument rating within the next 2 years.

I look forward to conversing, and if anyone has any "Mouse" questions I'll contribute what little knowledge I have, although it seems that the BAC aircraft have been fairly represented here by their owners.

Someday, when it makes financial sense, I would love to move up to a -36, but even then I would keep the Sundowner for around the patch flying and for the kids to learn in.
