Aircraft: Musketeer
Hi everyone. I’m a low time Private Pilot in So Cal looking to get back in to flying. I got my certificate in 2007, but then immediately had to put everything on hold to build a career and a family. I have been searching for aircraft on the classified sites you all know about, without much luck. Prices on anything airworthy have become completely insane. I came here looking for a project or some way to scratch that flying itch without mortgaging my future. I’m an A&P that works on heavy jets, so I’m definitely willing and able to turn a wrench, but I don’t want a pile of corrosion or something that’s going to make me wish I never bought it. I chose this forum because I flew a Musketeer for the majority of my PPL training, and have always loved the Bonanza and especially the Baron. I hope I find something good here.

Welcome Paul! Good luck with you search- I'm sure finding something solid and affordable is a challenge, but you'll find the right one.
SoCal must be a great area to fly. Cheers!

The *problem* with living in San Diego is nobody ever wants to go anywhere. We’re already in the best place around.

Great to have someone with A&P skills and real-world flying passion here. You’re definitely in the right place, Bonanzas and Barons do show up, sometimes in surprising condition.

This is a very nice, always hangared corrosion free example with fresh engine and no AD prop conversion.

For less than a decent Musketeer.

I’m in the high desert area. My closest airports are APV and VCV.

I need five seats, which narrows my options considerably.

Welcome! You’re definitely in the right place lots of solid experience here and good airplanes still pop up. Being an A&P is a huge advantage, and a clean, honest project is possible with patience. Hope you find the right Bonanza or Baron to get you back in the air.

Welcome! You’re definitely in the right place. Prices are crazy right now, but with your A&P background you’ve got a big advantage. Hope you find a solid Bonanza or Baron project here
