Hmmm, what are we gonna do about this....? We ask for pix, right? Seems like he has good stories. Heck, after building an Unlimited Hydroplane, on my way back to Florida, I had a pick-up truck full of Coors. Don't remember selling much of it, though.

Wait, how 'bout this: He got his first ever airplane ride in a straight 35 exception?

Don't worry Mike, we all act like we never been in or around another brand. I started out in high wings, and then even bought a PA-28-180C.

Welcome, Mike.

As the owner of a beloved family pet Cessna 172, I was convinced I needed a 210 and looked for a good one for several years before being counseled (wisely) to buy a Bonanza. Glad you found one that's a good fit.

Good intro Mike and welcome! But do yourself a favor and don't beg/borrow/steal a ride in a TN A36 (especially with tip tanks) anytime soon...you'll find yourself asking us to spend your money for you. I've come to realize over the past 18 months of flying a friend's G36 that the Bonanza is definitely the sweetest flying GA airplane out there and after hanging out on here for all that time, I've been assimilated into the "TN/tip tank A36/G36 is the best single engine aircraft" camp. And now I'm a preacher of that view as well!

Oh I already do that, despite not having attended their "church" yet, although I plan on attending their online APS class. That said, I've preached LOP to quite a few people I know who operate 520's and 550's.

Hello everybody. I am Donny Niebrugge from Edmond Oklahoma. I just became a partner in a 1992 F33A. My partner is an old friend and everytime I ran into him I would jokingly ask if he was ready to sell 1/2 the plane. Well, this time he said sure! I am excited to be a bonanza owner and am glad I stumbled upon this site. Lots of good info here.

Thx,

Donny Niebrugge

Donny:
Welcome to Beechtalk. I'm surprised that the welcoming committee missed you thus far. This is a great site and has a volume of info. Some if it is very useful. Nice plane. Welcome.

Donny,

Welcome to BT. Look up Tony Caldwell he is at PWA with his new to him 1990 F33A. I am hangared up at Guthrie (GOK). Perhaps a trip in the near future to Ponca City (PNC) either for the pancake breakfast or Enriques for lunch?

Thanks for the welcome everybody!

James, I met Tony, in fact his hanger is just down the row from me. Nice plane. Ponca City would be great after I get some hours with instructor.

Tx for the welcome to a Beech oriented board, being inbred is never good :) A big majority of the aviation topics are generic and not brand biased....and tx for the advice, I'll keep my distance from the TN/tip tank A36/G36. No doubt it is a sweet ride. Since my bank acct dictates flying a previously owned plane at the moment, I am forced to stick with one that I am the "previous owner".

If anyone ever ventures to CO and needs a heads up on skiing, local airports, mountain flying/routes, good fuel stops etc, just hit me up. I read a post here about KLMO where the fuel prices are good and most days you can observe people jumping out of perfectly good airplanes..fuel was $3.43 a couple weeks ago and its a good stop. There is another small strip with a lot of "aviation ambiance", but nothing fancier than wallpaper in the bathrooms. Its about 15 miles east of Longmont and listed under "hudson co" or "platte valley"...18V is the ID...Fuel prices there are usually a few cents cheaper than LMO and the almost always the least expensive in the area. I know the guy who owns that fuel operation and I applaud his efforts at keeping the prices as low as possible. He has always tried to be the least expensive in the front range. The facilities are not high tech...Just a lot of guys hanging out who enjoy everything from homebuilts to warbirds complete with a few local airport dogs, and two hangars full of WWI and II planes and memorabilia...no computers etc but neither does the FBO at LMO... For the actual Denver metro area, TAC air at Centennial usually has the best self serve prices around...usually about $.40 more than the ones above and a busy full service facility....Denver Jet Center is also very first class operation.

Anyway, E1 fly safe and enjoy the holidays

Mike
