The time has come to let my Bonanza go. This is not an easy decision but our mission is changing as the grandkids keep coming. And as I approach 60, I find AC in an airplane is getting to be a must (and not just for my wife). Six seats is now a requirement.
Since this is a "special case" airplane, I wanted to offer it here in Beech world before listing elsewhere. Some of you may be familiar with Mike Borden at HP Aircraft and the amazing job they did renewing a group of former Lufthansa trainers - all F33As. The workmanship is nothing short of amazing. I'm a professional pilot and A&P with over 35 years in Aviation. I'm about as fussy as they come and after four years of flying this airplane, I'm still impressed.
Of the 28,000 hours on the airplane (no, that's not a typo), 27,700 were put on it by Lufthansa and the rest is mostly me. Here is a brief overview of what HP did to the airplane:
Factory IO-550 w/Auto Leaning (300 HP with 1900 TBO) Hartzell Three Bladed Prop with polished spinner New Paint by KM Aviation in TX New black leather interior with red stitching New headliner and plastic, new carpets with sound deadening backing New Polarized windows stainless steel hardware
New Avionics: Garmin G3X Touch 10.6” Touch Screen PFD w/SynVis – Engine Monitor – Traffic - GPS Garmin G3X Touch 7” Touch Screen EIS – Engine Monitor – Map – Multifunction Dual Garmin GTN-750 Nav/Comms w/Touch Screen Moving Maps Garmin GFC-500 Autopilot w/Yaw Damper Garmin G5 Standby Attitude Indicator Flight Stream 510 Garmin GTX-345R Remote ADS-B Transponder Garmin GMA-35C Remote Audio Panel displayed on #1 Garmin GTN-750 Mid Continent MD-93H Clock w/USB charging ports Avidyne TCAS Active Traffic System
Features: All applicable D'Shannon mods for the F33A (Engine Baffling, Lower Engine Compartment Airflow Panels, windshield, etc.) resulting in increased GW to 3,500 lbs. 1,230 lb. Useful load 4 Place Intercom Bose & regular headset jacks Aux Music input and co-pilot PTT Voice controlled audio panel selections Electric trim Yoke map light LED landing lights & Beacon Three light strobe system Quartz Clock in leather-wrapped yoke Remote Activated 406 ELT
In addition to the work done by HP Aircraft, I did the following over my ownership: Rosen visors with three axis arms New cabin fan New electric aux (two speed) fuel pump Eagle fuel cells fuel drain mod Graphene paint coating
Current time engine and prop are 214.3 as of today. I fly it a couple times a week so it will change. The airplane trues out to 175kts at 8,000' - 10,000' with two in the front and light bags at 75% power. If you load it closer to the aft side of the envelope, it will nudge (or sometimes hit) 180kts on 16 gallons per hour.
About the time this aircraft was rebuilt (2019) Garmin was struggling with servo issues. Two of the four in the aircraft failed (one twice) and Garmin stepped up even after the warranty ended and provided labor and materials ($12,000) to replace all four with the new series servos. All have been trouble free since then. The GFC500 is a dream to fly behind and the blue "level button" gives my non-pilot wife a little peace of mind. The integration with the G3X and 750s is flawless.
All GPS updates (software and data) are current and the airplane is in Annual - due next in October. IFR and transponder are current.
The aircraft is at my FBO at KHYA spring/summer then it goes south to SC for the fall/winter. Always hangared so I do not have a cover for it. It is available to be viewed seven days a week at HYA.
As you might expect with 28k hours, there are a lot of logs/records. Spar X-Rays were done at 10K and 20K and those are included. Our shop IA is pretty meticulous and all of our aircraft records/AD logs/etc. are neat and orderly. You are welcome to review them here and I'm happy to send scans of the most recent Annuals. I have dozens of pictures available and will post a representative selection here.
As to price, Mike once told me they invested a bit over $400k in each of these builds (I think they did five) and I don't doubt it. I'm looking for an offer in the $350k range. If Beech were to build this airplane again (sad that they don't) it would be priced well north of $1m. Here is your chance to get one as close to "zero timed" as possible for a fraction of the cost. Please don't ask me for my "best price" as I won't negotiate against myself. Come see it, fly it, and make me an offer. Your mechanic is free to inspect it in our shop or I can recommend an excellent shop nearby that I would be willing to fly it to.

Thanks Sven. It is a pretty plane and an excellent performer. Not for everyone with the high time but it is a Beechcraft.

Hey all,
Thank you for the calls and email messages. It is a great airplane that will make someone very happy to own.
My new airplane has arrived so the time has come get this sold - I really only have hangar space for one. I listed it on Trade a Plane today at $319,000. If anyone here is considering the airplane, it is now on the open market. Or will be once TAP approves the ad. Likely Tuesday.
Feel free to call if you want to discuss. 774-228-3760.
Thanks!

Eric,
Would you mind sharing what you bought as a replacement aircraft for your fantastic F33?
I too would like to have 6 seats and AC.

Hi Bob,
I bought a 2025 Cirrus SR22T, so one more seat (grandkid sized), AC and turbocharging. And a parachute to make my wife comfortable on our Bahamas trips. It was not really on my radar but after spending a little time flying in the local sales guy's G7 I decided to give it a try. So far, so good. First time I've ever experienced "new airplane smell"!
Also, I've come down a bit on price to see if that motivates anyone to step up. On Trade a Plane for $299k.
Eric
