Well, I joined the club. I'm a bit anxious about my long term ability to care for and feed it but it's something I wanted to do and even if it ends up back on the market next year I will be happy knowing I achieved what will almost certainly be the pinnacle of my flying.
I still have a lot to learn but I'm excited about learning a new plane and the performance isn't bad either!

Congrats Corey, that’s pretty exciting and a great looking paint scheme.

I think I would be interested in one of these if you could find a decent one for sale. Do most of these sell via pocket listing?

It seems many do, however I pursued 3 from controller including the one I settled on. I was watching very closely and I think I called within a few hours of it being listed.

I wanted to explore the short field abilities today. About a 9700lb landing weight. I had no problem stopping and clearing the runway in 2000ft. Only mild to moderate braking, pretty aggressive reverse however.
I need to refine my takeoff technique but was for sure off the ground by 2000ft and 50ft by 3000.
Very pleased to see that it will perform quite well when light weight.

Very pleased to see that it will perform quite well when light weight. We flew the C425 into Palo Alto last weekend for the Coldplay concert. I was being careful with weight and watching winds given the 2441ft available. When we went to leave Monday morning, there was a P180 parked just down the row from us in transient! Pretty cool to see that big of an airplane (PC12 doesn't count using a place like KPAO.

I was admiring your plane on the ramp. We were there in the MU2 I'll be the first to admit it's not a pretty predicament if you lose one leaving PAO
