I've expressed on other BT threads my desire to install Co-Pilot Brakes on my 77 E55 Baron.
I've researched in detail every thread I could find on BT search. A lot of very interesting and helpful information and advice. However, on my Baron (TE1110), I have a major problem and have not been able to resolve it!
I am asking the many knowledgeable BT experts for a little help with my issue. As an A&P, I understand all the hydraulic plumbing, the need for the "shuttle valve" and piping. I plan to purchase new master cylinders. I already have the Brake Pedals and many years ago I installed three piston brake calipers. They were necessary when landing ahead of heavy metal major airlines for all the years I was based at KDTW.
So, what's my problem? I would have thought that Beechcraft would have provided the metal tubing supports for the copilot master cylinders as part of the normal keel section fabrication. My 77 E55 does not have that tubular support behind the copilot pedal pivot tubing.
I have and have researched the complete Beechcraft parts manual on my computer, which covers the complete Baron line up to the G58's. I have spent many hours looking through sections " 27-20-00-05", and section "27-20-00-06”, which cover the Pilot and Copilot Brake hardware, but couldn't find anything (part # or illustration) with regards to the supporting structure for the master cylinders on either the pilots or copilot’s side.
I also research Section 53 which covers the fabrication of the fuselage both the upper and lower structures for all Baron models. I could not find a drawing or a part description or a part number for the master cylinder support structure. Appreciate any input or advice from the BT community!!

337? If the parts are in the TCDS, IPC and dual brakes are a factory option then this is a minor alteration. Same as installing another legible engine listed in the TCDS. Log entry. Am I missing something?

Hi Chris, You didn't miss a thing! The only thing missing is the support shaft behind the pedal pivot shaft that supports and attaches the master cylinders to the brake pedals. Beech never installed that shaft as part of the lower keel assembly for my aircraft. The year 1977 was the highest production year for general aviation (Beech, Cessna, Piper, Mooney, few others produced over 17000 aircraft. I'm guessing Beech didn't have time to install this support shaft on the copilot side!
