A wise man in the Bonanza salvage business said he did not mess with Ruddervators. His reasoning: the hassle of shipping and inevitably unhappy customer because they are not perfect; especially once stripped for repaint. In spite of that sage advice, I'm going to do my best to accurately represent what I have here and hope these can keep another bird in the air. The trim tabs seem to be in great shape. The end of one ruddervator is dented end (but not the edge) There are remnants of mud-dauber nests rattling around in both ruddervators There are signs of treated surface corrosion visible under the paint. The hinge access notches are not perfect, but not horrible. I did my best to get some interior shots with my borescope, but it wasn't easy. This is a link to the borescope pics (hope this works. If not, I'll post these, too) https://photos.app.goo.gl/Pw9pw6i82jY6jrQN8Oddly enough, in my effort to capture a lot of detail pics, I don't have any good "overall" pics. If you want more pics, just ask. $2000 for the pair as shown, as-is. Pickup in Milwaukee I will crate and ship on request, but buyer pays for crating and shipping (happy to discuss).

I wouldn’t be concerned about the “hardware notch” if you are referring to the cut-out in the skin. That’s about the most inconsequential part of the whole ruddervator. Now if referring to the spar inside that cut-out, that’s different.

I’m referring to your reference where you said this…” I would be interested in hearing replies from H to P model owners who have taken very close looks at their "hardware notch areas" and looked internally with a borescope to see how these compare.”
You have a lot of pics of the access points where the magnesium skin is corroded around the edges. You are calling these “hinge notch” pics. I’m just pointing out that a little erosion of the skin in this area - as long as it doesn’t involve anything structural - isn’t a big deal. Just trying to be helpful. David Stiles is making Carbon Fiber ruddervators and I’ve asked to make those access points larger which he is already planning to do. Yours are enlarging themselves, lol, no big deal. Again, as long as it doesn’t eat into the structural area. Next to impossible to tell by a photo.

GLWTS Thanks for the clarification. Interesting theory about those holes enlarging from corrosion. I will take a closer look. If these don't sell it's not a big deal. I just don't know how typical these are of the fleet.
