does the monitor include probes and frame? I use an 830 and I am curious if I can just use the same probes and wires.

There are no probes, connectors, or harness with this sale. It is meant to be an upgrade only from an existing JPI engine monitor. If you have an EDM830 (which is advisory only) already installed, then yes. The 830 has 4 connectors on the back named P1, P2, P3, and P4.

The EDM 930 also has the exact same P1, P2, P3, and P4 connectors but with the addition of a P5 connector which is for the functions the 830 doesn't support like fuel pressure, fuel quantity, amps etc.

Unplug the 4 connectors from your 830, plug them into the 930, and add the interface for the P5 connector (if you want) and away you go. This will come setup for your exact airplane from the factory.

It's my understanding that JPI will not allow an upgrade from advisory 730/830 to the primary 930 without replacing all the probes and harnesses.

Someone correct me if I am mistaken.

Let me clarify this individual scenario

JPI will not sell just an indicator only of the 930. You must buy the complete kit. That is where that rumor of the harness and probes comes from.

In this particular situation, we did an exchange from an old style 930 indicator for the brand new style they currently use, and that is what is for sale. It will come programmed to exactly your aircraft specification.

The STC SA01435SE and permission to use the STC for the EDM-930 WILL be included with the purchase. We are JPI dealers/distributors and have the authorization to provide all of it.
