I know of one guy that got his Aerostar in a hangar by taking the nose cone off every time he closed the door. you can gain a foot or more by doing that.
however that could be a pain if you needed to do it often.

I was able to stick it in a "twin" sized T-hangar. IIRC, the flaps down did make about 3" difference. I was not able to squeeze around the radome, I had to go under it. It was certainly easier without the radome installed, but I wouldn't want to remove it on a normal basis. The tail was not an issue at all. Attachment: MinimumThangardimensions copy.jpg

Clear customs in Syracuse and then quick hop down to Joel's. Thanks, I'll consider heading down there. Looks easy enough getting there but the drive home would be a little painful. Probably best to just bite the bullet once though if he can solve some lingering issues that have plagued the plane for 8+ years.

I was there in April, and chatted for a bit with the guys. Was meeting a friend who was picking up his aerostar. The shop was full of them and they seemed great, knowledgeable and very frinedly

The good news is that he'll find and fix your problem....there hasn't been an Aerostar yet that's stumped him.
The bad news is that he'll likely find a few things you don't know about. He really, really knows those airframes. Fortunately he's honest.

Appreciate that overlay. Definitely comes in handy as I searched for days and couldn’t find anything like this. This will open up the door for another option. Been contemplating 421C, Duke and A* 700 but haven’t dug deep into the A* as I kept being told it wouldn’t fit
