I'm helping my hangar neighbor (80+ yrs. former airline pilot and flight school owner) sell his beloved and well cared for late model Duke:

N181BD P563 of 1981
TT 3569
Engine Time 680 / 680 since overhaul by FWF
Props since overh. 113/113
Last annual insp. March 2024 by AAS in EDMA with new batteries,
new brake discs left and right, 4 magnetos overhauled
pre-oilers, winglets, VG

All systems (air cond., heating, windshield ....) working except prop. sync.

Interior new in 2017, exterior new in 2009, still in good shape as plane was always hangered in heated hangar

Garmin G600 with synth. vision, 2x 430W

The asking price is 260 000$ incl. spares and accessories (1 alternator, 1 el. Fuel pump, complete set of outside covers, two noise cancelling headset, etc.)

I am only helping Bernd, the owner, with the sale to ensure the beautiful plane gets a new owner who appreciates it (I'm sticking with the Malibu for now).

Rolf had you not found the partnership with your neighbor in the 340 this would have had your name written all over it, plus I could possibly being flying your Malibu right now LOL.

Good to see you helping your retired neighbor friend out, this is a very nice looking Duke with low time engine hrs and glass panel.

I would guess that if Beech were still making the Duke today it would have to be north of 4 million for a new one, that's a lot of airplane for $260k, it just takes a thick wallet to feed the engines but you are getting somewhere fast in pressurized comfort.

Thanks Todd, believe me, no matter what, I am truly tempted and still contemplate every hour of the day to sell the Malibu and buy the Duke. Every time I go flying, I take a walk around the Duke. It truly is a beautiful bird that deserves a caring owner

Me, too. It's one of my "lottery" airplanes. Super sexy design.

I‘m trying to get a hold of the logs. From memory, about 10 yrs back, will try to get a solid answer. I’m currently in the US and try to get hold of the owner when back in Germany next week

Apologies, Bernd is currently going through a rough patch. He has asked me to put all inquiries on hold, needs to sort out his personal situation.

I’ll post again once the situation has changed.
