I wonder how it performs on one engine with only 100hp?

Single engine ceiling is around 7000, same as a NA baron.
Not the best but I don't see many people saying the baron sucks

If they eventually certify it with the new 160hp 916, put TKS on it and increase the fuel and payload just a little bit, they have a real contender. I bet it would replace a lot of older legacy twins.

Cool. Needs more pictures of the airplane and less of random people.

Agreed, it left me wanting to see the airplane.

Any comments or owner experiences with the older models?

I really like the Rotax engines in a twin engine format. Looking for annual maintenance costs and any engineering issues.

Living in Colorado at 5,000 +- altitudes and having flown several lower powered twin engine airplanes, Piper Apache 140 and Champion Lancer, 100 hp a side is kind of anemic. It would be much better at our altitudes with the Rotax 916. In fact we just lost a P2006 just south of Castle Rock from what appears to be an engine out. Another 60 hp a side could have made a difference.

I hadn’t heard about that crash.

Hard to fail a Rotax engine. Probably either fuel exhaustion or starvation, or vapor lock. Most likely the latter in the high country on a hot day.

Butch see Crash Talk https://www.beechtalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=230147

We do not know for sure it was an engine out, but video suggests it.

Sure looked like an engine out from the video.

Obviously, you would lose an engine with the loss of oil. But I’ve owned 4 Rotax engines (2 AirCams) and over 700 hours. Never had an oil issue. There are no magnetos, it has a ring capacitor discharge system. So barring a catastrophic mechanical failure, an engine failure is generally fuel related.

New sizzle for the P2006T NG Sport. Cool little plane - they've gone full Cirrus on the interior and features.

Damn it - now they have me wanting one!

It’s a shame they couldn’t find a narrator that spoke proper English

What's really ashame is they won't install the 916is turbo, that they have at their disposal, this would turn this airplane into a highly sought after and extremely desirable twin, that would sell quicker than they could build it.

Perhaps the only exceptions being the Lockheed Constellation and the Beechcraft Duke, only Italians can design timeless art forms such as these, starting with Michelangelo, all the way through Pininfarina.
