Opportunity to Upgrade! Do you have a mechanical HSI that you are afraid may fail one day when away from home leaving you stranded or if you send in your old HSI in for repair and the bill is in the thousands of dollars?
Now you have an opportunity to upgrade to a very reliable glass screen Garmin G5 HSI (configurable to an attitude indicator PFD presentation) along with a Garmin GMU 11 magnetometer and a Garmin GAD 13 with a Davtron OAT that will provide you TAS and OAT on the G5 display. If you already have a Garmin GAD 29B analog-digital converter, you can easily get it setup as an interface to your autopilot (Century, Cessna/ARC, Honeywell/Bendix King, or S-TEC autopilots) to provide heading bug and GPS steering; allowing you fly fully coupled approaches and enroute navigation. See Garmin G5 installation manual for compatible GPS avionics (GNS430/530, IFD440/540, etc). If you don’t have a GAD 27B/D, a friend has a new GAD 27D for sale that I can include with this package.
Why am I selling this equipment? With my new G3x installation I received a new G5 and a new GMU-11 that I do not need plus the GAD 13 that was mounted in my aircraft is no longer required. I decided to install the new G5 as my G3x backup AI, so my existing used G5 HSI became surplus. All equipment is in excellent condition, the G5 glass is perfect.
G5 (used) with LPM (certified aircraft version) has current software, includes a backup battery and an installation kit along with a recessed panel mount for flush mounting the G5.
GMU 11 Magnetometer (new) includes an installation kit (connectors and pins). You will need to fabricate a structural holder at the location you determine best for interference free operation.
GAD 13 (used) outside temperature module includes the Davtron C307PS outside temperature probe (the GAD13 + temp probe is required to obtain TAS for display on the G5).
Price: $3,335 (saves money over retail price, sales tax and shipping): includes G5 w/LPM, backup battery, install kit, flush panel mount; GMU11 w/install kit, and GAD13 w/install kit and Davtron C307PS OAT probe.
Add a new GAD 29D w/install kit for an additional $665. GAD 29D picture available on request by the purchaser.
Includes shipping CONUS. Available for shipping on 1 May 2024

Are you including a new G5 STC with this? Buyer will need a new STC permission to install. it's about 600 from Garmin. I have a stack of new G5 STC permission cards. I will sell one dirt cheap.
