For sale is a field telephone from WWII. Everything looks complete except for the battery. Something unique to have in the man cave. I bought 2 from an auction but only keeping one. Price is OBO. PayPal Friends and Family only. Pm for questions.

If you're only keeping 1, how do you and a friend get on your bikes and call each other all over the neighborhood? :-)

I had that thought too. But I don't have enough knowledge on how that system works.

We used to use a bunch of these 25 years ago when we started a paintball business.
They were cheap surplus and Refs kept losing or breaking expensive walkie talkies.
The only downside is you have to string a pair of wires to each one and keep a good set of D cell batteries in them. The crank just rings the phone.
We used them to start groups on opposite ends on the woods, about a 150 yards apart.
The wire came in mile long spools and was pretty cheap.
